Role description

Do you have experience as a Python backend developer and would you like to implement your skills to help grow Nalantis’ next-gen technology tools? We are looking for a Senior Python Backend Developer to help us build functional and efficient server-side Artificial Intelligence/Natural Language Processing services.

As Senior Python Backend Developer you participate in all phases of the software development cycle, from design to deployment, and help coach other developers.


Required skills 

  • Solid experience as Python backend developer (5+ years industry experience)

  • Familiarity with cloud services architecture (AWS, Azure)

  • Understanding of databases, SQL and NoSQL

  • Hands-on and agile

  • Team player

  • Good written and spoken English communication skills


Nice to have skills

  • Knowledge of information management solutions and/or AI/NLP

Day to day tasks

  • Design functional requirements and architecture for Nalantis’ semantic understanding system in collaboration with our NLP developers

  • Implement, optimize and refactor efficient backend features and service APIs in Python

  • Assist in the (semi)automatic creation of multilingual linguistic resources that power our systems (data cleaning, linguistic tools building)

  • Manage testing and bug fixing

  • Prepare technical documentation

  • Adhere to the highest standards for security and privacy compliance

  • Collaborate with product management and developers, following Nalantis’ agile processes

  • Coach team members regarding Pythonic design, architecture, coding and testing best practices
