Role description

Would you like to use your knowledge and experience with Natural Language Processing for a thriving next-gen tech company? Nalantis is looking for a Senior Linguist to help us build multilingual AI/NLP services around semantic information extraction and processing.

As Senior Linguist, you are responsible for creating the multilingual resources that power our systems in a (semi)automated way. You work closely with other Natural Language Processing developers, engineers, and subject matter experts on current tech and forward-looking projects.


Required skills 

  • Solid experience as senior linguist (5+ years industry experience)

  • Knowledge and experience with classic NLP pipelines (morphology, syntax, semantics), scripting/coding experience

  • Multilingual: able to process information in the major European languages

  • Hands-on and agile

  • Team player

  • Good written and spoken English communication skills


Nice to have skills

  • Experience with NLP applications within legal and HR domains

Day to day tasks

  • Design and specify functional requirements for our flagship semantic understanding technology, combining classic linguistic techniques with machine learning/deep learning

  • Populate lexical resources (morpho-syntactic, semantic, named entities) through scripting, text mining, pattern recognition

  • In addition to general and legal/HR linguistic resource building, implement project-specific resource enhancements in support of customer requirements

  • Manage (regression) testing and bug fixing, prepare technical documentation

  • Adhere to the highest standards for security and privacy compliance

  • Collaborate with product management and developers, following Nalantis’ agile processes

  • Support and coach team members regarding NLP resource design, scripting, coding, and testing best practices
