Role description

We are looking for aNLP Developer to help Nalantis build multilingual AI/NLP services around semantic information extraction and processing.

As NLP Developer you participate in all phases of the software development cycle, from design to deployment, and work closely with other NLP developers, engineers, and subject matter experts on current tech and forward-looking projects.

Responsibilities

  • help turn Nalantis’ strategic vision for the next generation of NLP into a reality

  • design and specify functional requirements for our flagship semantic understanding technology, combining classic linguistic techniques with machine learning/deep learning

  • implement, optimize, refactor efficient information processing service APIs in Python

  • assist in the (semi)automatic creation of multilingual linguistic resources that power our systems

  • manage testing and bug fixing, prepare technical documentation

  • adhere to the highest standards for security and privacy compliance

  • collaborate with product management and developers, following Nalantis’ agile processes

  • able to do independent research & development, and come up with novel solutions to problems


Qualifications

  • solid experience as NLP developer, preferably in Python (3+ years industry experience)

  • knowledge and experience with classic NLP pipelines (morphology, syntax, semantics) as well as machine learning/deep learning, and their associated tools and libraries (SpaCy, Stanza, LangChain, Hugging Face, pyTorch, TensorFlow, etc.)

  • multilingual: able to process information in the major European languages

  • experience with best practices in collaborative software development (git, CI/CD, jira, etc.)

  • experience with vector databases is a plus

  • hands-on and agile

  • team player

  • good written and spoken English communication skills

  • eligible to work in the European Union
