THE PROBLEM

In Brazil people are constantly on the look-out for new jobs, all the time. They also live on their mobile, many hours a day, searching for all their needs they have.

But just like everywhere else in the world the current job platforms are not fit for the mobile generation. First of all they match candidates on the basis of a job title i.s.o. on the basis of their competences and their skills. And on top of that these job boards are not truly mobile… you can not apply via a simple text message and you can surely not look for a job via voice.

On TrabalharNoRio the Cariocas can post mini-CVs via text message or even by simply recording a voice message where they express who they are and what they their skills are (e.g. “I am Frank, I am a marketing manager and I work for a Bank. I have a degree in marketing and tool special studies in social media. I speak English and Portuguese and am very creative, motivated and punctual.”)

The mobile experience allows them to not only outline their experience, but also what roles they’re interested in - making the search and application process much faster and efficient.
